Hotel de Werdenberg is in the heart of the extensive ski region known as the Sportwelt Amade. The Sportwelt Amade boasts an extensive amount of skiing in a snow sure area for all standards of skiers and snowboarders offering the perfect ski holiday location.

Slopes:
- Pistes (No. of runs):    Blue: 60.   Red: 69.    Black: 14
- Type: All slopes are wide and tree lined with breathtaking scenery 
- Off piste:  Both open and through the alpine forests.
- Snowboard: 4 different parks, including the  Absolut Park with natural obstacles, Halfpipe, 4X run

  The Sportwelt Amade is famous throughout Europe for it’s skiing. The Sportwelt Amade has 285 ski lifts and 865 km of pistes and if required the ski pass extends to neighbouring regions covering a total of 1500km of piste including the Dachstein Glacier.

Lifts:

The area invests heavily in its lift systems to ensure they are some of the most modern in the world. Lifts are all Cable cars and chairs, with the main chairs all 8 man, covered with heated seats. Queuing is virtually unknown in the area.

Snow Sure

The area boasts a 100% guarantee of skiing throughout the season. Due to topology, this is nearly always from mother nature, but on the rare occasion this is not enough there is 100% coverage from snow canons on the slopes

Ski Schools

A private ski school system is run in Austria and as such there is plenty of choice and prices remain competitive. All schools offer English speaking teachers and cater for all abilities. At Hotel de Werdenberg we are happy to pre-book ski-school for your arrival to ensure you have a guaranteed place.

Catering/Apres Ski

The mountains are dotted with traditional mountain chalets catering for all. Food and drinks are extremely reasonable priced, with a hearty lunch with drink available for under 10 euros. At the end of hard days skiing the bars remain open allowing you to relax after a hard days work and to enjoy the famous apres ski.
